The International Nanaimo Fringe Festival

Aug 7, 2025, 7:00 PM – Aug 18, 2025, 5:00 AM

The International Nanaimo Fringe is produced by the Pacific Coast Stage Company (PCSC) a charitable, not-for-profit performing arts organization operating with respect on the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw Peoples, in what is now known as Nanaimo, BC.
Founded in 2005, PCSC is proud to celebrate its 15th anniversary of presenting the International Nanaimo Fringe Festival—a vibrant annual event that has become a cornerstone of the local arts scene. For 15 consecutive years, the festival has championed diverse, independent voices and bold theatrical expression.
The Nanaimo Fringe Festival runs for 10 days each August, showcasing a diverse mix of local, national, and international performers. In 2025, Pacific Coast Stage Company (PCSC) plans to present 60 performances by 12 different companies, hosted at the Port Theatre and the Black Rabbit Attic Stage. Fringe Festival performances are ticketed at $16.00 per show. Committed to artist sustainability, PCSC pays all fringe festival ticket revenue to the artists.
In addition, PCSC will present the Percolate Project at the White Rabbit Café, featuring three performances ticketed at $16 per seat, along with one “pay-what-you-can” performance, ensuring accessibility for all audiences.
The festival also includes a robust lineup of free community engagement activities at the Shelby Station Performance Hub, located on the lawn of the Black Rabbit. These include musical performances, puppet shows, performance workshops, dance shows, solo artists, laughter yoga, writing workshops, and Indigenous storytelling—all open to the public at no cost.
In total, the 2025 Nanaimo Fringe Festival will feature 90 performances and workshops over 10 days, providing a vibrant, inclusive celebration of the performing arts for the entire community! We look forward to seeing you there!
