Save-On-Foods is a leader in the food recovery space. In each of their stores, they set aside any unsaleable products to donate to local charities. Over the course of 2022, Food Stash rescued nearly 500,000 pounds of good, surplus food from four different Metro Vancouver Save-On-Foods stores. We look forward to continuing and building upon this relationship so we can work towards preventing, not just diverting, surplus food.

We are so grateful for the partnership we have with Save On Foods. This organization is instrumental in helping us nourish the community, whether that's collecting goods and funds on our behalf, participating in our Food Rescue Program, or working with us to ensure we have access to bulk food for our clients and partner agencies. Most recently, Save On Foods came to our aid in the midst of the wildfire crisis that our community was facing. Within 24 hours of us placing a food order, there was a tractor at our warehouse with critical food supplies for evacuees and first responders. It's hard to put into words the amount of gratitude that we have for Save On Foods and each of the local stores that directly interact with our organization. Save On Foods has been an incredible support to Surrey Urban Mission Society. It is because of their generosity that we are able to provide 5,500 healthy meals per week to those in our community and living in shelter. Thank you for all of your support and care for the people in Surrey.
