Social Mission
There is nothing that says a law firm has to give back. But, we believe that when you've grown up in a community and you work in a community its natural to want to help make that community the best it can be. We believe that being active members of our professional community and our city is our duty. Contributing to community is one of our core values. We believe in contributing to our community.

BrainTrust so appreciates PIHL LAW and their long time community support for BrainTrust. Pihl Law is the naming sponsor of our signature fundraising event – the PIHL LAW PADDLE FOR PREVENTION and their support goes far beyond a generous monetary commitment. Pihl supports our event from start to finish – helping us sign up teams, providing ideas to ensure the event is top-notch, and with full office participation – either on paddleboard teams or volunteering. Together we have created an innovative, fun and successful event that has raised and continues to raise significant dollars for brain injury prevention. - Mona Hennenfent

It is great to see a Good Company, such as Pihl Law, giving back to their local community. Local acts of kindness, volunteerism and donations help to make our country the amazing place that it is today. A big thanks to Pihl Law for their contributions to building a stronger and more connected community.

Stories of our community involvement
Here at Pihl Law Corporation, we have a program that allows staff to dress casually on Fridays if they donate a dollar to a fund that gets distributed to different charities based on employee votes. This year, the team at Pihl Law decided to donate to 3 special causes -

1. Child Advocacy Centre of Kelowna
2. Kelowna Women's Shelter
3. BC SPCA Kelowna Branch

Thank you to our staff for their participation in 2019! We're so happy to be able to give back to our community!
This year, Kelowna Women In Business has announced their First Annual Rise Awards.

Nominees – male or female – are someone who represents KWIB values and mission, demonstrates inclusivity, advocates for change and are a role-model, socially conscious and community-oriented, and someone who – by personal and/or professional example – helps to make Kelowna a better place to live.

Congratulations to Pihl Law Corporation's, Bree Hankins, for her well-deserved nomination! And please join us in also congratulating all nominees for this exciting Change Maker Award!

Best of luck to our spinners!
This holiday season, our social committee teamed up with KCR Community Resources to adopt 2 local families in need. Pihl Law Corporation had such fun wrapping gifts and preparing the Christmas hampers! We are grateful for organizations like KCR that support families in our community, especially during the holidays. Thank you for all of your hard work and for inviting us to share holiday cheer with you!
Today we say thank you and farewell to one of our own. Elisabeth is retiring after 30 years of service to Pihl Law Corporation. Please join us in wishing Elisabeth all the best in this exciting new chapter. Elisabeth has played a large role in our community and she is all about giving back. You may see her out on the hiking trails as she continues to help with trail building.

No matter where your journeys take you, you will always be welcome here.
Yesterday Pihl Law Corporation's Bree Hankins, Andrew Prior, and Nathan MacDermott participated in the 5th annual Orchard Park Shopping Centre's 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Proceeds raised will go directly to the The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), and this year, funds raised will support the CMHA's new initiative, Discovery College - an educational approach to increasing skills, abilities and confidence to manage challenges like stress and anxiety.
Thank you to everyone that participated in the year’s Pihl Law Paddle for Prevention supporting BrainTrust Canada Association. Whether you were a paddler, sponsor, event partner, volunteer, or cheerleader, your involvement made a difference.

36 Teams. 135 Participants. Over 300 donations. We are so fortunate to be a part of a community that gives back!
