Stories of our community involvement
It was a great night volunteering at Espanola's annual Lions Club - Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday, November 27th. Over 200 hotdogs and hot chocolate served and a ton of toys donated by generous community members. Thank you to everyone!
With our 21 Community Charity Kickoff at Northern Credit Union , Geralyn Ross was a lucky winner and her charity of choice was the Kiwanis Club of Westfort in Thunder Bay. She has been involved with this Kiwanis Club for years and know how this club has contributed to the local families and young children in our community. The donation was presented to the Kiwanis Club Treasurer at one of their Monday night meetings.
I was one of the lucky winners of the 21 Community Charity Kickoff and I chose the Eganville Horticultural Society, they are always making Eganville beautiful place to live and work.
As part of Northern Credit Union 21 Community Charity kickoff, Arnprior branch chose to donate the $600.0 they were awarded to Arnprior Regional Health. #Northern Credit Union
Today we helped bring the Sault Ste Marie Christmas Cheer donations from #École publique Écho-des-Rapides to the depot for sorting and distribution! Thank you to all the families who donated, it was a full car load! #Northern Credit Union
I was this month’s lucky winner of Northern Credit Union's WIN/WIN Charity Draw! I decided to present this month's donation to Sault Search & Rescue.
SSAR is the dedicated volunteer workforce consisting of skilled searchers, pilots, divers, search coordinators and others who contribute their skills at no cost. SSAR represents a uniquely Canadian response to emergency situations affecting smaller, relatively isolated communities located in rugged terrain.
They rely solely on donations and fundraising to provide their services, we are very proud to be able to support this important organization!
Hello from all of us at Kirkland Lake.
We are very pleased to be able to present a cheque for $600.00 to the Salvation Army . I was lucky enough to have won the Northern Credit Union 21 Communities Charity Kickoff. My team and I can't wait to continue to support our local charities and members the Northern Way!

Hello! I was one of the winners of Northern Credit Union 21 Communities Charity Kickoff, and chose the North Shore Health Network Association-Thessalon Site, as the recipient for my donation of $600.

The NSHA-Thessalon Site is a local charity that works very hard to raise money to buy equipment for our local hospital. (One of their latest purchases, is a top of the line x-ray machine). The residents of our small town community feel very lucky to have a hospital so close to home, that can provide emergency care, and onsite service to anyone in need. My donation is definitely a win/win for the NSHA charity, and the North Shore community.

A big THANK YOU to Northern Credit Union for providing such a wonderful opportunity for their staff to help make a difference in the communities that they live/work!
As the winner of the 21 Community Charity Kickoff from the North Bay Branch I was able to make a donation of $600 to All Heart Pet Rescue.
I chose this charity because this is a local independent charity that cares for unwanted animals. I am a HUGE animal lover and I really admire and commend Kathy Jeanneault for all she does to provide care to these animals but to also find them really good forever homes. "All Heart Pet Rescue" is quite well known all over Ontario and Quebec as well as many of our members know of Kathy and have themselves adopted animals from All Heart Pet Rescue. 22 years ago Kathy Jeanneault saw the amount of stray dogs that were being euthanized for various reasons and decided instead to find the dogs good homes and provide them rehabilitation if needed. Quickly after making this decision she started getting lots of referrals from vet clinics. Along with providing care for unwanted animals she also prides herself on dog rehabilitation and working with dogs that need that extra love and care. She current rescues over 150 dogs per year that have been slated for death.
I was the winner of our 21 Community kick off at our Sault Ste. Marie location. I was able to give away $600 to a charity of my choice, but it was difficult to narrow it down to just one. Luckily one of our own, Justin Dzama participates in an event each year called Extra Life- the choice became clear. Extra Life has Justin gaming for a full 24 hours raising money for Sick Kids, which I think is amazing. I always personally donate to Justin, but this year I was able to make my donation go even further thanks to Northern.
