The team at Mid Island Co-Op really came through for us! We really struggle with having enough food to offer people and it is heart breaking to have to deny people. The 20 cases of boost donated to us will go a long way to helping very vulnerable people make it through the day. Meal replacement shakes are an expensive commodity and you guys went above and beyond by being willing to work with your suppliers to order us a product you don't even carry in store. We can't thank you enough and the Co-Op will always be our first stop when we want to support community minded businesses.

Stories of our community involvement
We love seeing the Loaves & Fishes Community Food Bank truck filling up at our Mid Island Co-op Gas Bars!
Currently, the Loaves & Fishes trucks are traveling 5,379 km to deliver 9,400 - 23,000 pounds of food to other communities each month. They are able to do this completely free of charge because of the help they receive from donations.
Mid Island Co-op is proud to support this fantastic community program!
Feelin' Good Friday! ❤️ 😀

Mid Island Co-op had the opportunity to donate $1,000 to the Help Fill A Dream Foundation in support of their Family Assistance Program at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital last week!

The Family Assistance Program assists families whose child has a life-threatening/critical condition, focusing on a child’s mobility, health, and well-being. The intent of the program is to help reduce the financial stress that families experience from the costs and challenges associated with their child’s condition.

We would like to thank the Help Fill Dream Foundation folks for the great work they do to help families in our community!

Mid Island Co-op was thrilled to donate $4,000 to help support the Crimson Coast Dance Society's Body Talk Spring Break Workshop in Nanaimo. This creative arts and cultural leadership program help students develop leadership skills while exploring career options in performing arts with industry professionals. This event evolved in 2012 to benefit Indigenous youth participation through guidance by elders and Indigenous communities.

We would like to congratulate the Crimson Coast Dance Society students on their successful final performance on Saturday night! Great job, everyone!
