Without the continued support of Four River Cooperative we would not have been to successfully launch our new First Responder Program this year. We were able to purchase new CPR training equipment and because of this we are now able to respond to medical calls in conjunction with the BC Ambulance service. In the few months we have been up and running we have had a positive impact on our community already with two memorable cases of successful life saves of area residents. While we only had a very small number of members trained initially, we have acquired significant interest from others to partake in this program and we are now looking at developing our own Instructors and run another course later this winter, which will produce another nine First Responders on top of the current four that we have. We look forward to having the Co-ops future support of this program.
