It is great to see a Good Company, such as Enderby & District Financial, giving back to their local community. Local acts of kindness, volunteerism and donations help to make our country the amazing place that it is today. A big thanks to Enderby & District Financial for their contributions to building a stronger and more connected community.

Stories of our community involvement
Enderby & District Financial, a division of First West CU just made a $25,000 donation to Community Futures North Okanagan, but how does $25,000 help them be #GoodForBusiness?

Well, their aim is to point their clients in the right direction. They provide support for every type, stage, and sector of business on topics ranging from HR to operations, marketing to financials. They offer many programs and services to fulfil the business needs they see in our communities. Like their Momentum Business Accelerator programed that helps female entrepreneurs take charge of their own business.

CFNO also told us the most important thing business can do to thrive is to implement comprehensive hiring and labour retention strategies. That’s why they’re creating their HR Tool-Kit for their clients to use in recruiting and retaining the best people possible. CFNO also wants to convert the HR Tool-Kit to in person and virtual individual training modules to help small businesses and entrepreneurs in our community thrive!

All these are reasons why we decided to show Community Futures our Simple Generosity with a $25,000 donation! At Enderby & District Financial we’re passionate about keeping a good thing growing. This donation will go towards CFNO’s development and implementation of their “HR Tool-Kit” for their clients to use and help their businesses thrive

The credit union ethos is all about community and we celebrate the staff volunteers of First West Credit Union, the divisions and the charitable arm, First West Foundation. We are tremendously proud of the incredible work you do and the creative ways you have found to give back over this past year. It's all been about the pivot! You've made soup, delivered food, bought groceries for your neighbour who can't get out, handmade baby blankets for at-risk families, donated extra funds, walked to raise funds for charity, written cards and notes to seniors in care; to name just a very few.
Happy National Volunteer Week and thank you for sending so much love out into your community.
