Stories of our community involvement
Do Some Good is so proud to celebrate International Credit Union Week 2020 alongside the amazing Credit Unions we work with!

We're inspired by how deeply rooted community giving is in Credit Union DNA. To celebrate this week and International Credit Union Day, we're excited to welcome SASCU to the Do Some Good family!

“[Credit Union Day] is a day where we recognize the impact Credit Unions have in our community," said Barry Delaney, CEO, SASCU Financial Group. "This year, we are joining Do Some Good to highlight our role as a credit union in strengthening our communities. Our participation in Do Some Good also allows non-profits in our area to join the platform for free!”

If you're a Credit Union, learn how Do Some Good can help you! https://lnkd.in/gzCEf5W.

Thank you to our Credit Union Community Partners!

We’re thrilled to recognize the outstanding volunteerism of Jean Witherly with a $1,000 SimpleGenerosity Volunteer Award from Enderby & District Financial, a division of First West CU. Jean has selected the Enderby & District Resource Centre as the recipient of her donation where she has volunteered for more than 15 years!

Jean's energetic and creative volunteering ethic impacts the community in many ways, usually aiming at making life better for young families and children. With her past experience as an elementary school teacher, Jean now uses her knowledge to provide insight and action to the Early Years Committee and Board at EDCRC.

Each year you’ll be able to find Jean volunteering at multiple events around the community like the Enderby Arts Festival, Enderby Arts Council, Family Day events and more. Jean’s dedication, enthusiasm and warm smile are inspiring to all volunteers!
Our third wave of Community Response Funds is hitting British Columbia mailboxes with another $121,120 going out to 15 charitable organizations. Combined with annual granting, a total of $1,164,440 has been infused into communities across BC so far this year.
Canada Day celebrations include shout outs to great volunteers! We're excited to recognize Enderby & District Financial, a division of First West CU SimpleGenerosity nominee David Prenoslo!

Dave has been volunteering for two years with Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (PADS) Okanagan. Dave trains puppies 24/7 for the first 15 months of their life. The puppies then become fur-ever friends, providing freedom and independence to persons in wheelchairs or those with other diverse abilities.

Thanks Dave, for inspiring us and helping our communities thrive!
