We had the opportunity to donate 30 gallons of paint to Willard Monson House, an AFM facility in Ste Rose, MB. We were fortunate to have a tour to see the improvements to the 100-year-old building. The insights revealed an incredibly dedicated group of individuals that knew the freshly painted surrounding would improve the experience of people recovering from addictions and keep it looking like a home rather than a facility. We wanted to help bring awareness with the Art Show - incredibly moving

Community Need:

Substance Use and Addictions awareness within the community. The Coop support allowed us to provide a meal and bridge gaps for individuals who wouldn't normally connect with services.

Local Co-op Support:

Our committee is very small with minimal funding. This support allowed us to put on an event that we would never have been able to provide.

How You Can Help:

The event was not as well attended as we hoped. We hope to be able to create awareness about substance use and reduce stigma that those living with substance use disorders have. Our hope is to have the greater community (city, businesses, agencies) realize that this is an issue that needs attention from all sectors. We aim for more involvement from the city and businesses like Co-op. Just raising that awareness and having more people involved can help in our goals.
Thanks to the support from Dauphin Co-op and the Fuel Good Day partnership, we are excited to be able to offer opportunities for all families to enjoy being outdoors this winter on our outdoor rink. The $6000 dollars donated will be used towards programming that will continue to help families in our community.

Community Need:

The need for community gatherings again, outdoor activities, mental wellness and overall a healthier population. Decorating the community tree was a very positive experience attended by all, as we did the event outdoors and drive-though style.
We are definitely making this an annual event and hope that Dauphin Co-op continues to sponsor us with the expenses. The Community appreciates it so much!

Local Co-op Support:

We saw lots of smiles, honking horns (instead of clapping) sense of pride in the community. Our event was well attended and people enjoyed getting out and participate in a community activity, such as the scavenger hunt. We gave out Co-op sugar cookies, hot cocoa, and Santa gave out Candy canes. Next time we will definitely have to have Joan join us in the picture!

How You Can Help:

Continue to sponsor local community events like these make a huge impact on the community, especially during Covid-19 restrictions, uplifting and heartwarming event. Thank you again!
We are so excited to donate lights to Ste Rose Recreation for their Tree Lighting event on Dec 4.
“A Huge Thank you to Ste Rose Co-Op for the donated Christmas 🎄 lights for the Ste Rose tree lighting December 4th.
If we sell every bulb, that’s a $6000 value - all fundraising for the new Turtle River Trails and Alternative Recreation Plans

Dauphin Co-op had the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and learn about the impact of our donation of 30 gallons of paint to help refurbish a 100-year-old building in Ste Rose.
Improving the environment and surroundings at Willard Monson House has made people recovering from addictions feel more at ease and welcome.
Folks were able to gain some insights at Under One Roof. We were meal sponsors for a special evening with an art display from Willard Monson House’s painting therapy during Addictions Awareness Week.

We are celebrating Co-op Week across Western Canada next week.
Dauphin Co-op has been serving our communities since 1939. It began when a few brave people decided to take a risk and build something for their community. Something that would create good jobs and provide farm supplies and fuel at fair prices to local farmers and others with all profits being returned to its members. It has grown since then to seven locations in Dauphin and Ste Rose supporting its communities and providing equity and benefits to its members.
We are partners.
We are fuelling your life.

Happy Co-op Week! We have really enjoyed celebrating this week, especially with some of our youngest members!
Five-year-old, Zaida was so excited when she found out she won a prize in a Co-op Kids Colouring Contest. Check our Facebook or Instagram Feeds for the video.
So adorable! We LOVE Co-op Week!
Dauphin Co-op believes in supporting youth sports.
We are proud to be Jersey Sponsors for Dauphin Clippers Hockey, our high school team.
This is only one team we sponsor in our communities.
Our support doesn’t stop there, we know without the devotion of coaches, teachers, volunteers and parents, none of these opportunities would be possible for our youth.
As an employer, we offer flexible schedules so our Team Members can be involved in the community and give of their time.
We thank all of our amazing Team Members who go over and above to enrich the life of our communities by giving of themselves and their skills.

What a way to celebrate Co-op Week! We recently held Fuel Good Day in September and donated 10 cents per litre of fuel sold to Dauphin Bible Camp. This resulted in a $5,000 donation. Over $1,000 was raised at BBQs held at both Co-op Gas Bars in Dauphin for a total of more than $6,000 in one day!
Many thanks to our amazing community members for coming out to support the Camp. They have already began construction on a new skating rink in addition to the tubing hill that is open to the public all winter long. See more on our website:
