Thank you to everyone who came out to support the recent Golf for the Full Cupboard Tournament. The event drew more than 60 golfers for a fun day on the course at Mt. Brenton in Chemainus and raised a total of $2,153. Funds will be divided to support both the Chemainus Harvest Food Bank and Cowichan Valley Basket Society through our signature cause The Full Cupboard. With the food banks' buying power of $1 equal to two meals, the donation will help to generate 4,306 meals for those in need. Special thanks to Jesse Honkanen and our Business Banking Team for all of their work in coordinating the event and to the many volunteers who came out to lend a hand.

The rising cost of living and higher food prices means more people in our communities are struggling and finding it difficult to feed those in their household. You can help with a donation to your local food bank. Non-perishable food items or cash donations can be dropped off at any Island Savings location in person or you can make an online donation at https://www.islandsavings.ca/community-leadersh...
