As the winner of the 21 Community Charity Kickoff from the North Bay Branch I was able to make a donation of $600 to All Heart Pet Rescue.
I chose this charity because this is a local independent charity that cares for unwanted animals. I am a HUGE animal lover and I really admire and commend Kathy Jeanneault for all she does to provide care to these animals but to also find them really good forever homes. "All Heart Pet Rescue" is quite well known all over Ontario and Quebec as well as many of our members know of Kathy and have themselves adopted animals from All Heart Pet Rescue. 22 years ago Kathy Jeanneault saw the amount of stray dogs that were being euthanized for various reasons and decided instead to find the dogs good homes and provide them rehabilitation if needed. Quickly after making this decision she started getting lots of referrals from vet clinics. Along with providing care for unwanted animals she also prides herself on dog rehabilitation and working with dogs that need that extra love and care. She current rescues over 150 dogs per year that have been slated for death.
