We received word this week that Integris Credit Union’s Insurance Division was successful in applying to the Intact Insurance "Better Communities Program" for a grant of $5,000 in support of the YMCA of Northern BC 's #FoundryPG Youth Centre.
Foundry Prince George is an integrated health and social service hub for young people ages 12-24. Located in Prince George, Foundry PG serves youth and communities throughout the North given that so many youth come to PG from across the region. Beyond that, "Foundry Virtual" provides "access anywhere" for youth in Northern BC and beyond.
Alongside partners, the YMCA of Northern BC offers a “one-stop-shop” for young people to access mental health care, substance use services, primary care, social services, and youth and family peer supports. Foundry PG is part of a larger provincial initiative expanding access to services and supports for young people across BC. At Foundry, young people can find hope, help and support for their wellness needs.
Intact's Better Communities Program is helping to create resilient communities. The Program allows brokers (i.e., Integris Insurance) to partner with Intact to support local initiatives. Operating since 2018, the Better Communities Program has donated more than one million dollars to charitable organizations and community initiatives important to broker partners like Integris Insurance. In particular, the Program addresses child poverty, youth success, mentorship, leadership and education.
