Meet Blue Moon! She’s a puppy in training with BC & Alberta Guide Dogs. Jasmin Alexander, an employee at Island Savings a division of First West Credit Union, and her husband currently sponsor Blue Moon so she can go on to become a Guide Dog, Autism or PTSD Service Dog.
As part of First West’s Lead Well program, Jasmin Alexander was selected for a charitable donation award for her volunteerism and made a $500 donation to BC & Alberta Guide Dogs, courtesy of First West Credit Union, in support of other puppies on their journey to changing someone’s life.
“My husband and I chose BC & Alberta Guide Dogs as one of the charities we support, as we believe in their important work,” says Jasmin. “The previous dog we sponsored, Teagan, graduated in May as an Operational Stress Injury/PTSD Service Dog on Vancouver Island.”
