Envision Financial, a division of First West Credit Union and its Simple Generosity program just donated $3,000 of #LearningPotential to the Chilliwack Learning Society! With this support, we’re helping create more "Bookworm Friends” -- a program that connects children with adults to share the joy of reading. The COVID-19 lockdown was the kick-off for this program to increase feelings of community even while dispersed. Initially a short-term project, we’re thrilled to see it go on to thrive!
“This donation is crucial to ensuring this the program continues to benefit our community.” Says Annette Williams, Literary Outreach Coordinator. “The $3,000 will go towards purchasing books, training volunteer readers and promoting the programs with families.”
