“When I filled up with gas at the Emerald Park Gas Bar, I was 100% blown away from what I witnessed.
Daniel, a gas bar attendant was assisting a elderly lady into the c-store and then assisted her back our to her vehicle and had her buckled up in her car.
I could not help but ask Daniel, if he happened to know her. He said “No, but I thought I could help!”
He proceeded to tell me the rest of the story….
When the elderly woman (lets call her Elsie) pulled up in the passenger seat of what appeared to be her daughters SUV, Daniel went ahead and offered to fill it up. He also made a cheeky comment on what a beautiful young lady was riding in the passenger seat. Elsie happened to turn 85 a few days earlier so she was thrilled with such a comment. Elsie of course, needed to use the washroom, so Daniel took her by the arm and led her to the washroom. When Elsie was done in the washroom, the daughter was going to help her back out to the vehicle, and Elsie said “No, my new boyfriend will help me out!” Daniel took her by the arm and led her back to the vehicle and buckled her in.
Daniel told me that Elsie said to him as he was closing the door that she would never forget this day, and thanked him very much for putting a smile on her face.”
Thank you to our member Mitchell for sharing his story with us, it certainly put smiles on our faces as well.
