Community Response Fund awards $10K technology grant to REACH Child & Youth Development Society

Supporting over 1,300 children, Reach Child and Youth Development Society has experienced a drastic increase in the costs associated with program and service delivery as a result of COVID-19. The Society continues to provide both virtual and in-person services depending on children and family needs. Building on a 2020 Community Response Fund grant of $5,000 for PPE, First West Foundation through the Envision Financial, a division of First West Credit Union Community Endowment is proud to award REACH with an additional $10,000 grant for therapy materials and technology needs as they continue to provide vital services to children and families in the communities of Delta, Langley and Surrey.

2020 Funding Impact

The 2020 Community Response Grant funds that REACH received were extremely impactful in enabling REACH to equip our staff with the PPE necessary to resume in-person therapy services with our children and their families. This PPE helped to ensure the safety of both REACH staff and children while allowing children with extra needs to continue to receive the critical support they need to reach their potential during these exceptionally challenging times.
