“We normally host an annual Gift of Giving Turkey Luncheon in December to over 330 people, which won’t be possible this year,” said Corinne Ginther, Missionwood Marketing Director.
“We know how impacted the YMCA has been due to the pandemic and we wanted to come up with a safe and innovative way to support their charitable work this year with local underprivileged children and youth. Our Chef Chad made hundreds of 1-litre containers of homemade turkey and pumpkin soup, which were pre-ordered by our residents and the community and picked-up on October 7th without people even getting out of their car.”
