Periods are a fact of life. But too many people have to pick between feeding their family and affording basic hygiene products. United Way is working hard to make that issue #UNIGNORABLE by launching Period Promise, a campaign to end local period poverty. Recently the North Okanagan Labour Council (NOLC) ran a Period Promise product drive and donated $500 worth of products. Once the spring campaign is complete across BC, United Way Southern Interior BC will be delivering the products to local charities with the greatest need.
