Thank you to everyone who came out to support our community partners at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Cowichan Valley this weekend for their Annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser. The sold out event drew big crowds with this year’s Super Hero theme and was nicely supported with donations from the local business community and general public. Island Savings staff were proud to give back at the event working alongside BBBS for all volunteer duties and also contributed to the fundraising on 6 bowling teams. All money raised will go towards matching at -risk children with caring Big Brothers and Sisters. Serving as role models, mentors teach by example the importance of giving and giving back, staying in school, having respect for family, peers and community.
