Thank you to everyone who took some time to spread some joy to others during the recent Random Acts of Kindness Day! Our staff enjoyed taking part in a number of kindness initiatives including delivering items to local shelters, handing out hot chocolate to school crossing guards, and distributing hand written thank you letters, words of inspiration and cookies. Although Random Acts of Kindness Day officially takes place on the first Friday of November the goal is to help people incorporate its practice into every day. The message is simple: do something nice for someone and ask nothing in return, except that they do something nice for someone else. It doesn’t have to cost a cent. Holding open a door, sharing words of encouragement, saying hello to a neighbour – these are all the kinds of acts that citizens can “pay forward”. What will you do today to brighten someone's world?
