Happy June! This month we are usually busy fundraising for a cause very near and dear to our hearts, JDRF, Kelowna -
On the 14th of June, we were planning to serve breakfast at the Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF, for the fourth year in a row. Like many other charitable fundraisers, COVID-19 has put a damper on usual fundraising efforts with the cancellation of these and many events. But the foundation has organized a virtual house party instead! On Sunday, June 14th gather your friends and family and join @jdrf_canada at #HouseParT1D for a virtual celebration including celebrity guests, live music and research updates. If you are able, a donation of any amount would greatly help the foundation continue the amazing work they do.

The August Family Foundation is excited to present Cars & Toys at August Luxury Motorcars on Sunday, Dec 1st from 11am-1pm. Bring the kids and get a picture with Santa with donation of a new, unwrapped toy. Supercars! Treats! Cocoa! Horse Drawn Carriages! Huge congratulations to Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) Foundation & JoeAnna's House for their grand opening tomorrow! Providing a much needed home away from home for families with loved ones at KGH, the residence includes 20 guest rooms, laundry, kitchen, living area and kids play area. Sold out private backyard party with Aaron Pritchett raised $40K for Foundry Kelowna! Owner Andre and Katia Brosseau with Innov8 Digital Solutions Inc. opened their home with magical backyard set-up, they also donated all Tickets Sales back to the cause. The message -let‘s build longer tables not taller fences has openend up the conversation. Helping one person might not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.
